The type of Local Linx (MB123) service you need will depend on your business or personal requirements. Our team is here to work with you find the best solution. Below is an overview of the services the network can support.
Services include:
- A single User Network Interface (UNI)
- Membership in a single Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- Reliable connectivity over a 100% fiber infrastructure
Optional upgrades:
- Additional UNI ports
- Additional VPN memberships
- Enhanced bandwidth with Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization
- These options allow for customized solutions based on your specific needs.
Network Enhancements to be completed by the end of 2025
- The network core will be 100G capable with up to 400G available at core network facilities
- Community anchor institute (CAI) sites will be 10G/100G capable (1G still available if required)

Network to Network Interfaces
Network-to-Network Interface (NNI) Services enable customers to interconnect with their services through physical interfaces at MB123 network locations, including:
These interfaces provide access to “off-net” services, such as the Internet or a private intranet, based on the customer’s network configuration.

Dark Fiber
Our Dark Fiber Service is a network solution for those customers who need unlimited bandwidth and complete service control. We can offer single or multiple stand options and are capable of connecting multiple locations across western Massachusetts to design a tailored, high performance dark fiber network that meets your needs.

Colocation
Our colocation services offer customers the option to place their own electronic equipment in the Local Linx secure POI or Global/Regional Gateway facilities. Colocation enables our customers to have access to network connectivity and proper network design. The Colocation Option provides rack space, power and interconnection services in one of our environmentally controlled and monitored locations
