Who is Local Linx?

Local Linx is a women-owned SDO-certified Massachusetts business, middle-mile operator managing the state-owned Massbroadband 123 (MB123) network. Our mission is to serve the communities of Central and Western by providing exceptional service at competitive rates.

Network History

The Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI), a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MTC), completed the network in 2014 to provide affordable, quality broadband access to over 120 communities in Western and Central Massachusetts.

Middle-Mile Info

The network is a state-owned, open-access and middle-mile fiber optic network. Local Linx operates the MB123 network, enabling education, health, commerce, and government services across 120+ communities throughout the network’s area of operation in Central and Western Massachusetts.
